How about a Smile Makeover
As soon as cosmetic dentistry became popular and the procedures were mainstream I knew that I wanted to eventually have a total smile makeover complete with porcelain veneers. When I was in my late teen years I was involved in a car accident and I lost several of my front teeth.
The replacement teeth never felt right to me, nor did they look 100% real. I always felt as if people would stare at my smile as if they were trying to figure what it was that seemed unnatural about it. I found myself trying to smile with my mouth closed and talking through the side of my mouth.
I did not want to continue through the rest of my life focused on all of the things that the accident had taken from me, such as my beauty and confidence. I did not want to spend another day concerned about my teeth and trying to hide my smile. I desperately needed a smile makeover in order to rebuild my self-esteem and my life.
Finally, cosmetic dentistry seemingly overtook the nation and several dentists popped up in my area. I called one of them right away and explained to the receptionist that I presumed that I would need veneers placed on all of my front teeth and my back teeth whitened. She invited me to come in for a free consultation with the cosmetic dentist.
I came in for my consultation, had a digital X-ray done and was able to view a three dimensional computer generated replica of my mouth. The dentist and I went over my different options agreeing that I needed several porcelain veneers and some whitening done.
The dentist informed me that the entire procedure could be completed within one visit and we set up an appointment for that day. I also learned that my insurance company intended on paying for a percentage of the smile makeover. I was completely excited about the procedure.
The procedure itself was painless and it went a lot quicker than I anticipated. After a few short hours spent in a comfortable dental chair, the dentist pulled out a huge mirror and said, congratulations, here is your new smile.
After I saw my reflection in the mirror I couldn’t help but cry. My teeth looked and felt real and they were completely straight and perfectly aligned. I was beyond satisfied with the results of the smile makeover. I knew that I would never want to stop smiling!
