Laser Mole Removal
Laser mole removal works best on moles that are on top the skin. The moles that are thin such as nevi moles. These moles are generally brown or black in color. Even if the moles are thin it can take as many as three or four treatments to remove them with a laser.
A laser mole removal treatment directs a beam of light directly into the mole. The mole then absorbs the light and it interferes with it on a cellular level then the mole breaks up. The body will absorb the mole cells and it will then heal.
The laser will then begin at a low setting on the mole and gradually increase the level if necessary. The laser feels like a constant stinging pulse. The pain varies on the sensitivity of the are and the setting level. If it is set at a higher level it can be quite painful.
You should avoid the sun after a procedure to avoid scarring and it allows the area to heal quicker. It is advised to stay out of the sun up to 2 months after the procedure. There will be a scab after the laser removal but it will generally fall off after about 3 weeks.
