Get Rid of Razor Bumps Easily and Forever
Get rid of razor bumps easily and forever by shaving correctly. Razor bumps or ingrown hairs are painful bumps that occur after shaving. If you suffer from razor bumps then chances are you are not shaving correctly.
There are a ton of razor bump products that treat the problem for you. However if you continue to use the wrong techniques while shaving the bumps will keep coming back. If you currently are having problems with razor bumps then it’s a good idea to purchase a product that helps to prevent them. Having less bumps on your skin will lead you to having a better shave.
You should also use a needle nosed tweezer to pull out any hairs that may be embedded underneath the top layers of your skin. Don’t pull the hair all the way out from the root, just take it from underneath your skin. Pulling the hair out from the root could cause an infection.
Although razor bumps can be treated it is a better idea to prevent them from occurring. Try changing up your shaving routine to stop them from occurring.
If you follow the steps I’m about to outline you should see a noticeable difference in your razor bumps in a couple of weeks.
* Get a gentle face scrub and use it to wash your face anytime you are going to shave. The scrub will gently remove layers of skin and this in turn will help you get a closer shave.
* After using the face scrub you should shower before you shave. The warm water from the shower will serve two purposes, you will make your hair softer and you will open your pores. Wrapping your face with a hot towel will also serve the same purpose.
* Shaving oil should be used before you shave.
* Use the shaving oil in combo with shaving gel or shaving cream. Try to avoid the foaming shave creams as a non-foaming gel is better for your skin and overall shave.
* If you use disposable razors use new ones every single time you shave. If you use a non disposable razor make sure it’s sharp before you shave. This is important to get rid of your bumps.
* Try shaving in whatever direction your hair grows. Shaving against the grain leads to a worse shaving experience.
* After you shave rinse off your face with cold water. The cold water will close your pores after shaving.
* Use a skin toner or astringent to stop inflammation. I usually use either witch hazel or tend skin solution.
* Keep your face moisturized after shaving. Try using a face moisturizer that contains SPF as well. This helps with keeping off razor burn.
Some people believe that the more you shave the more likely you will suffer from razor bumps. In truth if you always shave with a razor that is not dull and follow the above steps you will have less bumps.
Try to shave using the steps above each and every time you put a razor to your skin. If you make it a ritual you will see the lasting effects quickly.
